Youre water pump coupling is damaged. This is the coupling half that engages with the coupling half inside the engine right by the distributor.
The second picture shows a "healthy" pump coupling half. Unfortunately it is on a different style pump and does not fit yours but it does illustrate what yours should look like.
Complete failure of this coupling would probably happen this season and strand you on the lake!
A whole new pump was ordered and will be installed it was the most cost effective method and most reliable.
In the third picture there is some wear shown on the half of the coupling in the engine that merits further investigation.

Debris found in fuel tank! Tank is clean as shown below with only a small amount of rust showing. Also note spin on fuel filters pictured below. This material in the tank was heavy enough to stay in the tank, but when some did manage to enter the fuel system it was filtererd by teh spin on filters picture.ed below.
